eyhornmom 36 Posted May 31, 2015 In 9 days I'm leaving for Europe on a trip with my daughter. We are going to Germany, Poland, and Czech Republic. We will be there for 10 days. I'm really worried about meeting my Protein goals each day. We will be with a tour group of approximately 40 people. I don't feel like we will have a lot of flexibility in where our when we eat. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to make sure I still meet all my nutritional goals while traveling?
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted May 31, 2015 I would say, pick protein-forward meals and eat Protein first when you are served. If you see protein-heavy Snacks like Jerky, cheese sticks, or yogurt, choose those. Other than that, relax, don't worry, and have a good time! 10 days of going slightly under your protein goals is not going to hurt you in the long run. Just don't go crazy with high carb foods, sweets, and alcohol.

LeeBee17 80 Posted May 31, 2015 I went to Turkey about 8 weeks after my surgery, I was in the mushy foods phase, starting solid foods. I packed Protein powder in my carry on (the Protein drinks were too heavy), and one of those portable shakers http://www.gnc.com/GNC-Pro-Performance-Blender-Bottle/product.jsp?productId=3206646#green And I was able to make my Protein shakes with milk/ice once I got there. I also packed all my Multivitamins in little ziploc bags. And I agree with everything Bufflehead said! Eat your Proteins first.
