google Dr Matthew Weiner he has a video that tells you the progression of how much food you will be able to eat over a period of a year. Please follow your food plan so you staple line has time to heal properly and you don't hurt yourself. I am not sure how much teaching the dr did with you but make sure you follow the Vitamin requirements or you can end up with medical issues.

Thank you, I just googled and bookmarked some of his videos. Will watch it tonight. My doctor gave me good amount of Vitamin supplements, I'm taking 3 times a day.

That is a tough question you posed for me, my significant other is everything of an opposite to me, South African, blue eyed, blonde hottie, she is very fit and active, so she has been with me through my journey, I did this primarily for me, I wanted more time and activities with my family, in fact my wife is a lot more cautious and stressed about this than I am, as I said in the previous post, if they are your friends you have no reason to hire anything, I would think more so with a potential future significant other, it's easy to be accepted because of image, but even sweeter to have acceptance because of perception! Don't ever be ashamed of what you did, and I can't agree that it was your fault but I respect that you do, the medical system is set up as such here, informed consent is very important, if your friend turns on a light switch and it sparks but he doesn't say anything to you then you go to turn on the light and shock yourself who was at fault? Go forward !

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
