lexiemia 78 Posted May 29, 2015 The nausea is horrible and the zofran is not doing it for me. The pain is more like cramping and spasm. I hope everyone else that had surgery today is doing well.
Skylia 20 Posted May 29, 2015 Oh I'm so sorry to hear this. I had my surgery yesterday morning with no issues. Your body is not happy with anesthetic medication. It will pass.. Even though it's tough walk walk and sip. Warm peppermint tea ( no caffeine) might help? No matter what you made a great decision and it can only get better from here!!!! ???????????????? ShrinkingPeach 1,291 Posted May 29, 2015 Awww so sorry to hear that. The sooner you get past the anesthesia part the better. You are thru the hardest part though!! Rest, sip and walk!! Sending hugs!
mentalistfan 189 Posted May 29, 2015 I had nausea for the first day only but spasms lasted a week
sparkles1971 47 Posted May 29, 2015 I too was nauseated and had dry heaves all through the first night and part of the second day. I wasn't allowed anything to drink until the day following surgery...it sucked. Nothing helped me either...except time. Trust that your body will work the anesthetic out and every single day you feel a million times better than the day before. Walk walk and more walking! It helps with everything post op. Sending healing vibes your way!!
