I've been drinking electrolytes when I feel fatigued. It helps me feel better so I can keep moving.

Today is day 2. I feel like I have done 1000 crunches, and my throat hurts but other than that I don't have any pain. The pain meds don't really seem to be helping with the muscle pain so I am going to stop taking them.

I don't think I could have asked for a better outcome. I am having no issues getting my fluids in, I am at over 60 Protein already and it is only mid day.

I have a question guys, when can we eat like an egg or rice pudding is the purred food or soft foods?

As soon as your doctor clears you. I am seeing mine on the 24th so I'm hoping he will clear me then. I am on full liquids now.

My little incisions are sooo itchy!

Do you have stitches or glue?

I went to have my nails done today, and then I went shopping a little. I think I over did it, I really need a nap. I am going to limit the distances I drive until I have my follow up appointment.

I have 4 that are stitches and 1 that is staples.

Okay I have glue and I can't even feel my incisions, it is like they don't even exist. I took the bandage off two of them and they are really small incisions, smaller than I expected, one is the size of a dime and the other is a nickel.

I have a total of 5 incisions. 4 are really tiny and I can't even feel them the 5th one is where the stomach was pulled out of.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
