gastricsleever 259 Posted November 13, 2013 I like the Unjury shake mix the best. It tastes better and seems to keep me fuller longer. I am also taking bariatric multi, Calcium chew, and a B12. You can also order the Vitamins from unjury.com I just bought both the shakes and supplements from Unjury so I could test then out ahead of time and also get used to taking vitamins in a daily basis again. Do you mix the packets with milk? Or with something else?
gastricsleever 259 Posted November 13, 2013 I plan on using Premier Protein for pre-op and post-op and doubling up on my regular Women's One a Day Vitamins for pre-op, then switching to chewable Bariatric vitamins, Vitamin D, B-12 etc. post-op. I just ordered the Unjury sample pack. My nutritionist here locally tells me that Unjury passes taste tests in her office hands down to any other product. I am most interested in their chicken broth and their unflavored for a change of pace from the sweet stuff! On a side note, I found out that I had not gained weight like I thought! My scale at home isn't working! It was showing a 7 lb weight gain after 3 weeks of Zumba and it just didn't make sense because I FELT smaller. When I weighed with my nutritionist yesterday it showed me down 2 lbs from my last visit back in August. Good news! That's awesome! There's nothing worse than feeling like you are working so hard and then you gain weight. Been there, done that! Have you measured yourself? Sometimes when working out you lose inches instead of pounds?
MouseOnTheMile 186 Posted November 14, 2013 Well, I have had zero had pain this far without even doing much walking... But I've been vomiting... It hurts and sucks a lot to do that.

Sometimes when working out you lose inches instead of pounds? Actually I haven't measured myself yet, but I better add that to my list. Measurements and front/side/back before pics. I just finished my 10th Zumba class since late October, I bought 10 sessions on Amazon Local, I am so surprised at how much I enjoy the classes. The hip pain I've had intermittently since 2006 (daily most of this year) was completely gone after my sixth class. No more Advil! I'm ready to toss my gym membership and sign up with this dance studio for my regular form of exercise! It's a relief to find exercise I actually LIKE and not just "tolerate". Glad you're on the loser's bench! I remember you were worried about your pre-op diet loss, glad it all worked out! I'm going to worry about it too I"m sure. goofy219 11 Posted November 14, 2013 B2B, did you bring any bandages with you from home? I'm wondering as I will be staying overnight at a hotel by the airport the night before I fly home.

Kindle 8,667 Posted November 14, 2013 Greetings OCCers! My surgery is scheduled for Friday, dec 20 and would be flying home Monday, dec 23. However, with the flight schedule available, I would be leaving San Diego at 3:20, have a 1 hr 45 min layover in Salt Lake City and get to my final destination about 9:15pm. Then I have a 1 1/2 hour drive home. Is this going to be too much to handle 3 days post op? Plan B would be to stay an extra night in TJ and fly home Tuesday morning. I'd love to be home sooner than later, but I don't know if that's too much to expect. 1 raven123 reacted to this

No I didn't. You shouldn't need any. When you leave on your last day they will put some 4x4s on your removed drain site just in case. I didn't have any drainage when I took them off. All the others will be closed with the dermabond and none of my sites had any drainage. Kindle, congrats! I know if I absolutely had to I could've made the 3 hour drive home myself- but at night is another story. You're so tired often postop. If you don't have anyone to drive you I would make sure I slept on the last flight then if you're tired when you arrive stay in a hotel and make the drive home when it's light out. But you're talking to a Nervous Nelly when it comes to driving at night Update!! I got a copy of my labs to review them myself and they look AWESOME. I usually have trouble with my hemoglobin being low from anemia on and off. I've never had such a good CBC. I know it's not from my diet so it had to be the shakes and Vitamins from Enspira. Wonderful! 1 raven123 reacted to this
