Shustar 395 Posted May 27, 2015 Five years ago I lost over 65 pounds using HCG which is supposed to preserve muscle, trick the body into burning fat and accelerating weight loss. I gained most of the weight I lost due to poor habits, yea, go figure. I am sure I am not the only one who has tried HCG so just wondered if the combo of the Gastric Sleeve and HCG might work. Thoughts?
spiritfilled 32 Posted May 28, 2015 I have heard about it and I don't know much about it. Is this a good way to lose weight? And how long did you keep it off and how long did it take you to lose it?
Soapandcandlequeen 124 Posted June 6, 2015 I have done HCG more than once and lost but did not keep it off. I have surgery Monday. I don't know if I would mess with that unless you have been sleeved for awhile. Good question though
Shustar 395 Posted June 6, 2015 I kept most of the weight off until I quit smoking and had a very stressful legal situation at work. After I get stabilized after surgery, 2 months or so, I might give it a try since I still have a good supply.
Jimetta 3 Posted June 7, 2015 When I did hcg injections, I could only eat 5 different items and only 500 calories. I lost 40 pounds. I don't think that's a good combo with sleeve. Just my opinion.
krissy202001 5 Posted June 7, 2015 I also don't think it's a good idea, if only because of the excess skin and Hair loss. You usually have both from WLS and the hcg will make it worse, I think. I lost 45 lbs on hcg a few years ago but gained it all back plus more after I stopped the diet!
momfromjersey22 403 Posted June 7, 2015 I definitely would not try it. I lost weight on it before but also lost hair, that's why I stopped it.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted June 7, 2015 I was sleeved so I could stop the cycle of fad diets and tomfoolery. Now I eat healthily and exercise. It works.
lfry925 38 Posted June 7, 2015 I was sleeved so I could stop the cycle of fad diets and tomfoolery. Now I eat healthily and exercise. It works. exactly. Give the sleeve a chance. Why are you thinking about pills already? I'm glad I'll never have to do a fad diet again!
judyoz 240 Posted June 7, 2015 There is no way I would use it with a sleeve. Just looking for trouble if you ask me.
