I drank three 8 oz Protein Shakes (under an hour on each), two 8 oz chicken broths (Unjury protein), and several SF Popsicles over the course of today. Each is allowed per my surgeon, but I don't think I'm expected to consume 8 ozs at a time. I burp a little but it feels like it slides right through my stomach. No other drinking close before or for a half hour after. I don't feel like I'm putting any pressure on my sleeve. Too much for 3 days out?

I'm the same as you! I have no problem drinking anything. I take small sips, but don't need to wait long in between sips. I usually finish my Protein Shake in 10-15 minutes.

I go to see my doctor tomorrow. I'm liquided out of my mind! ????

So funny, I never was a big cottage cheese fan , but now I crave it constantly. Protein Shakes, cottage cheese, & Oikos Triple Zero have become my staples. Had small spinach salad with Tomato for dinner, was so surprised how quickly I filled up. So far it's sitting well.

I was sleeved on the 30th and I'm on the mend. I was struggling with nausea and gas initially but now I feel like my large incision has been stretched. Anyone else have that problem? It's pretty painful

I'm so scared to try a salad or fibrous veggies right now. Are yall handling them well?

When was your surgery? I am one week out. When were you able to start eating eggs?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
