you are too funny!

i am going to go crazy i think.

all but 1.5ccs' was taken out friday **had chest infection, that inflamed my band & esophogas - had a constant cough/reflux**

back to square one - but i'm below target, so this is my real test. an hr in the gym, and i was going to wrestle my dog for his bone when i got home:)

try chili, it always worked for me (no beans), topped with lf sour cream, green onion, cheese
one of my favorites is a can or 2 of black Beans, can of fire roasted tomatoes, about a 1/2 c-1 c. salsa and chicken stock pureed to desired consistency (adding stock little at a time)

lots of garlic, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, salt and some lime juice to taste.

I top w/ shredded cheddar - some friends that like to make it also add a can of nacho cheese Soup and top theirs w/ sour cream and cheese

Have also made a version - that wasn't mexican flavored - actually cooked beans from dried with smoked ham or chicken and then served with a dollop of sour cream and a splash of madeira

I am going to try a combo of the two. That sounds so good. :crying:

maybe i need to stay off this thread other than first thing in the mornings to post my food the previous day.

my band is WIDE open & barely any fill - i got hungry just reading this & only had lunch 2hrs ago.

this is too much for one day! Only other true food addicts would understand our pain... Thank god for the band:thumbup:. It does wonders for the stomach, but the mind is a animal of a different sort... I just went to lunch, did good with the food. Ordered the bourbon glazed scallops (appetizer) 4 scallops, only ate two... but my mind wanted the cookie pazookie kinda thing ( I was full), I forced myself to eat it...There ought to be a crime, now I have to do 1 full hr walking straight uphill on the treadmill:cursing::crying:

LOL - ME.

i can take anything out of his mouth (lab), he steals fish out of the pond all the time & DH is done paying to have it stocked.

i've been in the kitchen now for 3hrs cleaning fruits/veggies/prepping go to healthy meals and i've not licked my fingers once....:thumbup:

i'm more than likely going back to 5/6 meals a day - i can't hold out 4+hrs between meals:blush:

Ok, I am ashamed of this, but I am posting it anyway

Today-

B-coffee w/torani chocolate Syrup, farina w/splenda

L- .5 pint chocolate gelato:eek:

S- the other .5 pint chocolate gelato:eek::crying::eek:

D-pureed chili (made with black Beans, fire roasted Tomato, green chili, cumin, mild salsa) topped with lf sour cream

I ate more calories and fat at lunch/snack than I should have had all freaking day! I cannot/will not do that tomorrow. I know that I let stress rule what I ate today, but I cannot let that continue.

this forum is more helpful than the creator will ever know:thumbup::crying:. Without it, I think we would fall into these food traps more often than we're doing now. Without you guys, I don't know if I could continue doing this. Nobody else understands.

And yes, I watch porn from the time I get home until I go to bed (I also cater on the side), I think I need a therapist, preferrably Tyler florence or G. Garvin, or Tom Colicchio (did I say that out loud)!:mellow::tt2: mmm, mmm good

Today was a much better day for me. I ate more substance throughout the day and managed my hunger much better.

Today:

B- 1/2 packet instant cheese grits, 1 tbsp real bacon bits, 1 scrambled egg- all mixed together

L- sandwich- multigrain english muffin, 2 slices deli turkey, 1 wedge laughing cow cheese, sliced dill pickles

S- 100 cal cocoa roasted almonds

D- 1 cup chili, grilled cheese sandwich

S- probably a SBD cinnamon raisin Protein Bar

Total calories- 1052

      Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
