Trying to mix things up to get more Protein in - Not doing a good enough job of that.

today:

b - black coffee & half SB vanilla Creame Meal Bar

s - EAS Carb Control Strawberry/cream Protein Shake

l - 3oz Grilled Talapia

d - crab cake & 1/2c green Beans

s - other half of south beach bar *if needed only*

MORE WATER!!!!

Here's my menu and stats for today:

B'fast- low carb slim fast

Lunch- 2 scrambled eggs w/ 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 3 pieces bacon

Snack- low carb slim fast

Dinner- 1 chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms and swiss cheese

Calories- 945

Fat- 52g

Total carbs- 21g

Net carbs- 16g

Protein- 98g

B:1/2cup weight control oatmeal (maple and brown sugar)

L:3oz fried chicken breast 5 wedges(homemade)

S .25c peanuts

D:2oz pork 1tbsp rice (rice couldn't go down)

Breakfast ~ Atkins Mocha shake

Lunch ~ 1 mild italian sausage & 2 slices provolone

Snack ~ 1 pkg Buddig thin turkey lunchmeat

Dinner ~ 5 beef lit'l smokies & 1 colby jack cheese stick

L- RED LOBSTER!!! Going to get the stuffed mushrooms and savor every bite.

D-Going to make a chicken salad

FairyFacade, I noticed you mentioned this protein test tube in a few of your post on this thread...can you please tell me what this is since I've never heard of it. Thanks. KKG

2 pieces turkey bacon----total calories 200

S-1 cup cheerios---total calories 90

L-1 cup homemade turkey chili

4 soda crackers-----total calories 300

S-1 cup cheerios-----total calories 90

D-tossed salad with 3 oz grilled salmon--Total Calories 300

S-1 cup SF vanilla ice cream--total calories 200

Liquids-30 oz Water

10 oz coffee

10 oz SF Hot Choc

Walked 2 miles---burned 200 calories-----total net calories 880

Breakfast ~ Atkins Mocha shake

Lunch ~ 2 flame grilled chicken legs from El Pollo Loco (no skin)

Dinner ~ Low Carb $6 Burger from Carl's Jr (ate just the beef, cheese & tomatoes ... not the plethora of lettuce they wrap it in :biggrin:)

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
