B-1/2 fried egg,2 pcs canadian bacon

L-5.3oz Greek yogurt w/1 tbsp p-nut butter,1tsp cinnamon

D-3oz hamburger patty,1/2c cauliflower

OMG, I ate a little popcorn on Saturday night...and I have been bent over in pain for 4 days....finally it passed, this has never happened to me before, normally I have no problems what so ever with any foods but the popcorn almost killed me!!!

B- 1/2 Cup LF (2%) Cottage cheese w/ Tropical fruit Cup

S- Chipolte String Cheese and handful of Wheat Thins

L- 6 Tyson Anytizer Buffalo Style Boneless chicken Wings w/ 1.5 Tbl Homemade Ranch

D-1 Cup of Campbell's Chunky-Chili with Beans (Roadhouse) w/ 1 oz Shredded Cheese w/ 6 Saltine Crackers

Exercise--jogged/walked 2.25 miles

BTTRFLI--you have the right idea...don't deprive yourself--just eat less of the bad stuff and really try to make wise decisions BEFORE you choose the fatty stuff.

Today: got a fill (liquids)

b-nothing

s-vanilla shake

l-large sweet tea

d-tomato parmesian bisque

s--double Protein Shake (later tonight)[ do you have the recipe for the parmesian bisque? that is not canned Soup is it?]

A lot less~ NKOTB is "New kids on the block", you know, the boy band of the late 80's and early 90's.

L-1 c Soup (leftover from yesterday), wheat crackers and 1 small sausage

D- 1 wing and 1 thigh

S-2 bite size kit kats

b-sf carnation instant Breakfast

s-1/3 cup grilled pastrami and 1 egg topped with lf cheese

d- sweet and Soup shrimp (5) and 1 oz salmon, 1/4 cup greens

s-straberry, cool whip and granola parfait

exercise, 1 hr at the gym

B - Dannon Light & Fit 0%+ vanilla yogurt

S - small banana

L - 1/2c pulled pork & 2 dill pickle slices

D - crunchy taco & pintos n cheese

S - 4 pb oreos dipped in skim milk (thankfully they are now out of the house...and on my hips:blink::eek:)

Breakfast ~ Butterscotch Protein Shake

Lunch ~ Mixture of 1/2 C Ground Beef, 1/2 C No Fat Refried Beans, 1/4 C Shredded cheese, 1 T Light Sour Cream

Dinner ~ Nachos @ the concert :eek:

Snack ~ Large Iced Hazelnut coffee (for the drive home, to keep me awake! :))

*Had a great time, Joey singin' "Please Don't Go Girl" still makes my heart skip a beat ... I was all giddy and felt like a teenager again :)*

i had their songs in my head all day yesterday....:eek:

yesterday -

b- skinny latte & slice cin/raisin bread w/butter

s- half cucumber

l- 1c spaghetti squash w/3tbsp vodka sauce & 1tsp romano cheese

s- half cucumber

d- 1pc fried fish, 1 huspuppy, 1/3cole slaw...not the best of choices:rolleyes:

L: 1/4 cup of pumpkin mixed with 1/4 c of ricotta and splenda brown sugar (yummy) grazed on for like 3 hours

d: double scoop Protein Shake banana cream

Had a fill couple of days ago and I know I am too tight.. but the weight is flying off!

      Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

        I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
