Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

I don't know if it's me but, it seems when I have the whey Protein I eat like a horse. I can't control myself. I am going to try it tomorrow and it effects me like that, I guess I will have to try something else. Either that or I need a fill. I cancelled my appt last month.

that's an interesting observation, i ususally drink them prior to working out & assumed the hunger came from exercise....things that make ya go hmmmmmm...

not heard of shake the weight - is there really such a thing??:tongue2:

I sadly hang my head in shame as i say I have to edit my intake from yesterday i had a night snack / dessert - a pumpkin cupcake :tongue2:- couldn't believe that I could eat it let alone that I did! and then had a meatball later (didn't help that I was up until 03:30 am.)

oh well! today is a new day right?

I know this isn't the right thread...but I've been looking and looking for about an hour for a thread a saw several months ago for Protein Shake recipes. Can anyone here help me?

B- strawberry eggo swirl

L- mac n cheese

S- 2 dry fried eggs

D- prob vegetable beef Soup

BTW thanks for the link but I am trying to find the thread I saw quite awhile back that had hundreds of Protein Drink recipes. I can't find it anywhere but I saw it a few months ago. :tt2:

Today~

b- 1 scrambled egg and pc of bacon

s- mini pumpkin muffin w/ cream cheese spread

l- 2" pc fried fish and 1/2 hushpuppie-- we had a fish fry today!

d-4" pc fried fish, spoon of banana pudding,

s- 1 chocolate oatmeal cookie

feel like I wanna puke, not because I'm stuck... I hate that I ate all this SH*T!!

Will not be having a fish fry any time soon!! IT was really good though!

Today

B-coffee, 1 1/2 egg w/cheese and 1/2 link sausage

S- 2 wings

L- 1 chicken thigh, 4 bites of yams, 3 T green Beans

S- 3 bites of salad and 2 slices of peaches w/2 T FF cool whip

D- I really don't think I NEED ANYMORE TO EAT

Gosh, I need to run to the gym and skip work. LOL

had to add I had a slice of birthday cake

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
