i've had a problem lately w/hard workouts getting enough Protein in w/food, so i'm going to start adding a drink to see how things go....

yesterday -

b- banana scream Protein Drink **my new fav thing** (8oz 2% milk w/1 scoop of banana scream protein / half banana / tbsp of crush pineapple

s- ostrich Jerky stick

l- dozen steamed mussels w/garlic & a bit of butter

d- grilled cheese :smile2:

b: chai tea latte from starbucks

l: ceasar salad :tt2:

d: i'll make the frittata i've been saying i'm making all week long lol with spinach, tomatoes, a little shredded potatoes and goat cheese.< /p>

B: 1/2 c. nonfat plain greek yogurt sweetened w/ splenda, 1/3 c chopped fresh strawberries and 1/4 c. granola flakes on top.

L: chicken fajita bowl - 9 oz bowl filled with leftover chopped fajita chicken meat, grilled onions, black Beans, shredded cheese, chopped fresh colored bell peppers and topped with a little dollop of guac.

D: not sure yet - thinking about making turkey sloppy joes but instead of a bun eating it with a couple baked scoop chips

Today

B- coffee, 1 boiled egg and 1 rice cake

S- 1 teeny tiny box of raisins

L- 1/2 c. chicken salad made w/ spinich dip & 7 wheat crackers

S- 2 boiled chicken wings and a handful of "whales" ( they are addictive)

D- 2 rice cakes w/ PB

b-sugar free carnation instant breakfast shake

l-1 slice deep dish quiche pizza

s-sugar free chocolate chip cookie

d-taco salad, ground turkey, green chile,salsa, low fat cheese, lettuce, ff sour cream, green onions, cilantro

exercise- 1 hr at the gym, elliptical and weights. signed up with a trainer for 4 months:tt1: Am I really ready for this

Yesterday (still not feeling great...)

B: 1/4 cup blueberry ff yogurt with 1/2 banana

L: 2 tbsp eggplant

D: 1 slice turkey breast (1oz)

S: FF pudding

Later threw up everything....guess it is back to liquids only...

YAY today's a great day--hit my 50lb mark:thumbup:

B: VENTI (as a treat) chai tea latte with skim

b2 (if needed): low carb slim fast

l: leftover frittata

d: going out for dinner...probably will get a salad or something

      Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

      over 20 lbs down since4 the pre surgery diet and surgery on the 14th

      Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
