Breakfast ~ SBD cinnamon raisin Cereal bar

Lunch ~ popcorn chicken (15 pcs) & 1/4 C cottage cheese

Snack ~ 1 C ground beef mixed w/ salsa

Dinner ~ 1/2 C Dennison's fat free chili

Snack ~ 1oz italian dry salami & 8 manzanilla olives

B: 2 cup cereal 1/2c 2%milk

L: 1.5 oz lean ground beef 1slice of wheat bread

S: 2 slice of bacon

D:1.5 oz lean ground beef (97/3) 1 slice of wheat bread

total calories:1008

Breakfast ~ 1 scrambled egg & 2 slices bacon

Snack ~ 1 string cheese

Lunch ~ salad (1.5oz lettuce, 1oz italian salami, 1 slice provolone cheese, 1 cherry Tomato & 2 T Italian dressing)

Snack ~ Egg salad (2 hard boiled eggs & 1.5 T mayo)

Dinner ~ Salad (1.5oz lettuce, 1oz salami, 1 slice provolone cheese, 1 hard boiled egg & 2 T Italian dressing)

Today

B: 1 soy yougurt cup w/ 3 sliced strawberries and 6 blueberries

S: 1/4 c Sabra supremely spicey hummus w/ 2 carrots cut into sticks.

L: 1 sweet potatoe and tofu with teriyaki sauce on it

D:tempeh with ginger sesame sauce baked, salad with almonds and craisins and ginger sesame dressing. YUMMY!!!

Liquids: 1c coffee, LOTS of Water. Tea

Lunch ~ Egg salad (2 hard boiled eggs & 1 T mayo)

Snack ~ 8 Manzanilla olives, 1 string cheese & 1/2 oz pork rinds

Dinner ~ chicken salad (1.5 oz lettuce, 3 oz grilled chicken, 1 slice provolone cheese, 1 hard boiled egg, 2 cherry tomatoes & 2 T ranch dressing)

BREAKFAST

PROTEIN SHAKE/SMOOTHIE---- I make it with

Soy Protein powder

low fat vanilla yogurt

Silk Soy milk

strawberries

SNACK

Raw almonds

LUNCH

Lean Cuisine frozen dinner

SNACK

Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt

w/ raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries

and Special K Protein Plus cereal crumbled on top

DINNER

Steak w/mushrooms and Marsala wine sauce

asparagus

mashed potatoes

So.... this was what I ate yesterday. I STILL feel like I am able to eat wayyy too much. I am eating what I think are healthy things but I still feel like my portions are way out of control for someone who has had the lap band. Don't get me wrong I am eating wayyy less than I used to but it still seems like too much.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.
