I was just sleeved seven weeks ago. I am down 45 pounds. Now that my weight is down, my confidence is going up, so I decided to try online dating sites. How do I explain the fact that I can only eat 4-5 bites at the most of food on a first date? I don't want to get into a long discussion about my health history on a first date and really don't want to get into it ever. How do I explain to my dates why I am not eating so much?

Why does a first date have to be a dinner date.

If you find them to be good company then you can tell them what they need to know for future dates.

The first "date" was coffee. I guess I meant to say the first time we go to dinner...

Oh OK. My friend just orders an appetizer for dinner and only take a few bites. She told him after the third date when she figured out she really liked him. So he thought it was fun to just share his meal with her. He started asking her to order for them.

Order something small. Or something high Protein and low carb. Nowadays it's normal to ask them to hold the starches and to not serve bread. Have the portion you can eat and wrap up the rest. If your date asks why you're not eating more, you can simply share that you're working toward a healthier you and you manage your portions. It's a true statement.
