My pre op appointment is scheduled for this Thursday. I am beyond excited to get this started. I defiantly don't have the support from my husband. He thinks I'm going to regret it and that ivdon't need the surgery. I am 5'3 218lb and a size 16. That doesn't sound like a healthy fit 39 year old to me. I have STRUGGLED with my weight since I can remember. The only time I was under 140 was in high school. I'm convinced my new start may intimidate him. And that's not something I need to worry about. I need this! Is anyone else having these issues. Or gone thru this without a spouses blessing? I mean, what are they afraid of? I want to be happy, healthy and have confidence.

I personally would not have done it without my hubby's support. But.... I am happily married and have been for over 30 years. Good luck with your decision.

I have been married 21 years. And my marriage doesn't define me. I am my own individual. And I make my own choices about my health. His support or not. I'm going to do it

I went to Bridges. I'm having it done by Dr. Juarez at St. Luke's.
