ualaw08 270 Posted May 23, 2015 Hello Everyone I had gastric sleeve surgery in December 2013 but now I have to have a laproscopic hysterectomy next month. Have any of you ladies had a laproscopic hysterectomy? If so how was the pain compared to gastric sleeve surgery?
brandnewme2015 217 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) It wasn't terrible, but much more painful than the sleeve. As with any surgery you will feel the most pain and soreness after the first few days. I had to have help getting in and out of bed for about a week (I have a high bed & I am short). I was out on med leave for 3 weeks after my hysterectomy-and you will need every bit of that time to start to feel normal. Just don't pull, lift, and over - exert yourself and you will be fine. Good luck! Edited May 23, 2015 by brandnewme2015

kp1971us 31 Posted May 23, 2015 I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy about 3 years ago. I had no pain whatsoever. Spent one night in hospital and home by lunch the next day. I was driving within a week of surgery. I don't even think I took any of my pain meds after I got home
wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted May 23, 2015 I also had a laparoscopic radical hysterectomy (everything was taken out vaginally) 25 years ago. 2nd easiest surgery in my life. The estrogen I had to take for 25 years (which I stopped before sleeve surgery, and I won't take it again) caused my boobs to hurt all the time, and kept weight on me. If you have to take estrogen, opt for the lowest possible dose.
