anikka 32 Posted May 23, 2015 I take Centrum Adult for my Multivitamin. I just swallow them now and don't taste anything. The B1 is the gross one. That one you just have to get down as quickly as possible. My daughter in law likes the Centrum chewables. She said they don't taste too bad. My NUT says post-op to cut the multivitamin in half to take it. She doesn't want us having anything larger than the size of an M&M.

jvdcal08 4 Posted May 27, 2015 My office set me up with Nascobal (B12 nasal doses) and their bariactiv Vitamins. It's submitted through your insurance and you pay $25 or less a month. It was designed specifically for Bariatric patients. I have been taking them pre surgery and I really like them (all chewable/dissolvable). They were also really quick and helpful setting it up through my insurance. A lot cheaper than buying new each month.

rwoods200 39 Posted May 29, 2015 I'm not taking them yet, but if you have a CVS near you they have most all of the Vitamins we need after surgery in chewable form. They also have really good buy one get one specials on Vitamins.< /p> Rhonda
jvdcal08 4 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Nasal? Really they have me taking Iron Vitamin B C &D do they have to be chewables? my multi v areYes they are chewable and dissolvable. My nutritionist said gummy vitamins have no minerals so they are not a complete vitamin (of course that's what I had been taking). These Bariactiv Vitamins have a great taste (orange and fruit punch I think) and it only costs me $25 a month for B12 Nasal, Calcium, iron, and Multi Vitamin. If you buy them all separately every month it can get pricey. Plus they deliver it to your house. Edited May 30, 2015 by jvdcal08
Cielle92 4 Posted May 30, 2015 Surgery is June 3rd! My dietitian said gummies do not have Iron. I used to take them. She said after surgery Flintstones chewables are fine 1 week after surgery. I also will be taking B12 sublingual (they dissolve) and citrical chewables. I tried the bariatric Vitamins and they made me nauseated.
