tafuller 5 Posted May 22, 2015 I had my surgery Tuesday may 19. I had absolutely no pain.. But the nausea I experienced felt like death! I had to stay in the hospital 3 days bcs I couldn't keep anything down aND I could barely move my head without feeling dizzy. I know I've heard people talk about the nausea but I never ever thought it could be that bad!
MassageMini 31 Posted May 22, 2015 I'm not any help because I've really experienced zero nausea. I'm now 17 days out. However, my Dr. Said ppl who get nauseous tend to do better. I'm sure it will subside. I'm sorry ur not feeling well :-(
NORCALRN 60 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Sorry for the rough time. Do you have anti nausea meds? Zofran/companizine/---you can get Zofran in disintergrating pills and compazine comes in suppository form if you cannot get meds down. I sympathize with you. I wont get into details from my sleeve in 2012 (you can find my threads) but it is likely due to anesthesia...let it work thru and follow your doctor instructions.....hang in there. you can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the rx can really help. sometimes our bodies just do not like the surgical process. sip sip sip! skinnyrita 188 Posted May 23, 2015 I was sleeved on 5/14/15 and like you I had nausea the first two days. I was so relieved they kept me in hospital an extra day because they kept me on IVs and the nurses were there every four hours with a shot of Zofran. after 24 hours of that, I could keep down Water and the feeling went away. I never actually threw up, but I was scared if I started to I might mess up the surgery. Thank goodness that only lasted a bit, and I haven't been nauseous since! Hang in there!
