Bush Vetoes Stem Cell Bill - Thanks Goodness We Are Saving Those Discarded Embryos

Just shows how sports illiterate you are, Green. It's Pete Rose, and he's all about the sport of betting.

So Mark, if you have no teeth, how do you strain the moss as it passes through?

Are you the most popular boy in your dance class?

Are you the most popular boy in your dance class?

And I thought it was my personality.

Pete Moss? Doesn't he have something to do with sports? Green never watches sports.

I think you mean Pete Bogg.

I give it a little pinch between my cheek and gum.

Mark, as far as I'm concerned, it IS your personality that makes you so lovable!!!

Wasn't it Representative Lindy Boggs?

Oh, Green is very, very sports illiterate. Why, she has only recently discovered what NASCAR is thanks to this site. She does enjoy opera and experimental films and Howard Stern, however.... It is probably a good thing that she has never been a boy; she would get beat up a lot, eh? :heh:

I thought Lindy Boggs was a dance that was popular during the 1920s. ?

As they like to say in Texas, you'd cause them boys ta open up a can o' whip a$$ on you!

You know to me, NASCAR is somewhat like Pro-Wrestling. I don't know why, because they are physically not alike at all. Maybe it has something to do with the rabid fans?

Naw, you can't fool the Green. Limbo is where good folk who haven't met Jesus go when they croak. I learned all about this when I was in nun skule. Everyone who was good and who was born pre-Jesus will be found there. As will a number of those heathen who were outside the reach of the missionaries.

Those who got the lap band pre-Jesus go to Slimbo. Or, if they "ate around the band" they go to Bandster Hell.

There may be people in Slimbo who used the band as it was supposed to be used and lost just a pound or two a week since pre-Jesus. Can you imagine how thin they'd be by now?

Remember, the band is just a tool.

Slimbo - a place where I am gonna meet up with all my pet snails. Oooh. Cain't hardly wait. Reminds me of a line of a poem written by some Canuck or other: "muted azygous life

Himself his viscid wife...."

I was introduced to this when I was in high! skule and, as you can see, I have never forgotten it. The poem was a meditation on the life of a snail as I remember it.

I guess we are all involved in acts of high jackery, eh? ;)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
