ISO March sleever buddy

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery March 31st and am feeling like I am at such a loss as to if I'm doing things right, am I eating correctly, if I'm losing fast, slow, normal... I would just really love to have someone who was sleeved around the same time who can compare notes with me. I have been posting all over on these blogs but haven't been able to get any feedback from anybody. I was sleeved the 31st of March, I'm 5'5 and had a SW of 229, after pre op diet, day of surgery I was 222, I am 7 weeks post op and weigh 202lbs. People can see the difference, I can see a slight difference, but haven't really even been able to do any new shopping because my inches in my waist have not gone down at all. I'm frustrated.... I feel like at least I'm losing which is a far cry then before the surgery, it just feels so disconcerning to not see those inches in the waist go down. I also ALWAYS feel hungry, very different from just WANTING to eat something because I can differentiate from the 2, my stomach is always growling. I drink tons of Water, take all my Vitamins, get in my Protein. I don't get much exercising in due to long work hours right now, but have plans if signing up for some sort of Aerobics class. Any advice, tips, info, compared notes, or inspiring stories would be very much welcome and appreciated!

PS. I caught myself eating a couple teaspoons of ice-cream a couple days ago because of the frustrating, worry that I'm not going to lose much even though my whole eating habits have changed. I luckily caught myself and stopped myself, it's just concerning ????

Just a suggestion - You can search youtube for aerobic exercises. BeFit has a lot of good ones. You can exercise in the privacy of your own home for FREE! You can also purchase various strength training videos and stretch bands and kettle bells. There is no reason for excuse not to get in exercise every day no matter how many hours a day you work. Ten minutes of intense exercise will do. If you find that you can work that in every day, you will find that you will soon be able to work in 20 minutes and then 30 minutes.

When you feel discouraged, just picture yourself in the body that you want. Get up, and move.

I am a little over 12 weeks post-op and I have lost a lot of weight and a lot of inches. However, the inches around my mid-section are very slow to come off. From what I have read here on the forums, it is common. I have gone from size 28 pants to size 20 pants, but on top I have only gone down one size. I could probably wear a smaller size, but I don't like to highlight my bulges! Anyway, don't worry so much about things right now. You are still early in your journey. Be patient with the process. Your body is adjusting and will "get right" soon.

Good luck to ya!

Thank you so much @@TammyDTM you are right! You know during my hour lunch I eat the 1st half hour and then spend the 2nd half walking. I do squats in the restroom during my other breaks just to get some movement and you are so right! I do feel good about myself after doing it. I do need to start incorporating that into my time at home as well. Thank you! Sometimes I think all a person needs is that reassurance and nudge to try harder. Thank you! ????

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
