Down 24lbs. Since surgery date 48 lbs since Christmas! Does the 24 lbs seem about average for a loss this far out?

I'm doing well on my puree diet but having a lil trouble getting my Protein in everyday only because the shakes are grossing me out.

I CANNOT wait until I can stop taking the actigal pills. I take more meds now than when I started.

How's everyone doing at this point out?

bout the same, down 21 lbs from pre-surgical weight. I weighed about 8 more pounds before I started "tracking". my problem is sipping the Water at work. I am only taking Vitamins & BP meds and its only a few more Vitamins than what I was taking before surgery.

It seems great to me! I don't know your starting BMI, but 24 lbs in 3 weeks would be amazing no matter what your start weight is... that is an average of 8 lbs a week.

It is hard to compare loss across the board... we all have different bodies and issues that affect our metabolism. Are you happy with the loss so far? That is the most important thing : ) As for the Protein drinks... have you tried different kinds? It pays to sample brands and flavors to find one you like. I personally don't like the chocolate or vanilla ones that are so easily available, but found that I love several flavors of the Syntrax Nectars. Drinking a Cappucinno one right now!

Yes I'm very happy with the weight loss! I weighed 294 on surgery day. People are noticing the weight loss thru my face the most. My clothes have lots more room and could probably drop down to a 22 but holding out as long as I can.

I have not tried any other Protein Drink and I need to do that. I'm drinking the premier chocolate shakes and they leave a horrible taste in my mouth and I just dread shake time now.

Goodluck to everyone!!!!

I am new to this forum and this is my first post! I had sleeve surgery on April 28, 2015 by Kaiser Permanente in Fremont, CA, so it's been 3 weeks and 4 days today. I was given a weight loss goal of 20 pounds on January 15th in order to receive a surgery date. On that date I weighed 247. I got down to 225 the day of my surgery and today weigh 208 - a loss of 17 pounds since the day of my surgery. I was hoping to have been down by 20 pounds at this 3 week mark, however am still thrilled with a 17 pound loss! My only complaints thus far have been that I have suffered from Constipation and have swollen ankles and cold feet. Anyone else experiencing any or all of these symptoms?

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
