vkelley 1 Posted May 20, 2015 I finally got my surgery date scheduled for 6/16/15. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. Am worried about not losing the weight and not being able to make the lifestyle changes needed. I would love to hear from those of you who have been through it already and get any words of advice you have!
nateswife 0 Posted May 21, 2015 Your feelings are very normal, I was so nervous. My surgery went really well and I haven't had any regrets. I had mine 5/4 so I am still early into the process. The best advice I can give you is follow your doctor's orders and after the surgery get up and walk as soon as you can. I thought the gas from the surgery pain was worse than the surgery. I walked and walked and walked and it went away quickly. Take you food intake slow, I have been using injury shakes for Protein and that has worked well for me. Good Luck you can do this. going2servive 36 Posted May 25, 2015 Prepare your mind now because that is the only thing that will hold you back. Don't forget chap stick for the hospital stay. All the pain meds dry out your lips really bad.
