I have my sleeve surgery tomorrow. I have been anxious awaiting the day. I was 255 and this morning weighed 245.4. Up and down my whole life. A bad marriage that lasted longer than it should have. Remarried just over a year and am so ready.

Good for you for making a great decision. I also had a bad marriage that lasted too long. Am now married to the best man ever for 2 years. Since I found him so late in life, I want to be healthy so I can be with him a long time.

Good luck!!

Hey doll, I hope all went well with surgery. I had the sleeve on Monday 5/18. Still sore but walking a bit better today. I feel like I am hungry but sure if it's in my head or not. I tried after over a decade of separation with my husband to work it out and wound up feeling stressed and unsupported so I left. I was 263 day of surgery. My kids know something's wrong and I was in hospital and they are supportive but I still feel too embarrassed to tell them the truth about my surgery. It'll get better for us all I believe that. One day at a time step by step. I'm struggling today because I know I low liquid intake and I just don't like Water at all. Not sure what to try to ease hunger and satisfy thirst.

Hi! Better today. Was a bit miserable from being sore and the gas. Drinking better today. Eating some pudding right now. Ate about half in the last hour. I have a wonderful new husband who stayed with me at the hospital. How are you?

I was 250 day of surgery.5'7"

End of day, had my Isopure, cream Soups, pudding and yogurt. Having a bit of milk then to bed. Walked for 1/4 plus mile. Was sore on my left side. Did a bit of housework and no lifting. So ready for bed soon. Will weigh myself in the morning!

Your posts believe it or not are calming and inspiring me, my date is 6/10, I have no reservations about surgery and pre op is going great, but hearing how the "rebirth" starts is really informative and I'm learning things from your post, good luck and keep doing this, you inspire :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
