armywife79 123 Posted May 20, 2015 Hey Jenn, This is really common! I had my By pass in March and had the same issue. Nothing looked, smelled, or tasted good at all! In the beginning, it's all a numbers and learning game. It can be so much so that, we don't even enjoy the process of eating at all anymore. I can tell you that almost three months out now, I am enjoying eating a little again. Not so much the food it self all the time but, the ritual of eating and being social. I do go out to eat on date night, eat with family and went to a wedding this weekend and ate a bit and the food DID taste good. Now that I have some practice under my belt and don't have to think so much all the time, it is becoming enjoyable again. I think your at the stage when your still sort of swollen, and still recovering and eating is really a chore but, it WILL get better so, hang in there! Just don't give up on that Protein goal per day! It is a hard job but, eating IS your job right now, and you have to do it and I know you can! You have come too far to get healthy only to now be malnourished and get sick so, stay hydrated and full of good Protein and you'll be feeling like your old self in no time! Also, do try to get onto real foods as soon as you can for Proteins, it really does make a big difference in how you feel and how your new stomach will work going forward. If you make it work hard now, it will be easier later. I can tell you from experience! GOOD LUCK!

What I ended up doing was making 16 ounces of my Protein Shake (32g of protein) a banana (2g protein) and 2 tablespoons of Peanut Butter (8g of protein) so it would taste different and I have salmon for dinner (19g of protein) so I think I did good. But feel free if you have any opinions or suggestions
