I remember months back I saw a fork with a timer on it on Amazon.com. It was simple... Just had like a 20 second timer for in between bites. Of course now that I'm interested I can't find the dang thing! I've seen the hapifork, but it's an expensive Bluetooth contraption... Anyone else ever heard or seen this? Thanks!

I remember the concept but the idea never took off because of the problem of registering the bites you actually take. It'd be a wonderful idea for us sleevers!

I just want to know, is it strange that I don't get full when I drink? I can drink a 16oz bottle of Water in 20 minutes and I'm not full at all. When I eat I just put very little on my plate because I know it should be a small portion. Does anyone else have that problem. I was looking at my op report and it didn't say how much he took off. I just want to feel full. I hope I'm not the only one that feels like this.

Ohhhh lawdy! You're NOT alone at all!!! I feel the exact same way. I even opened up a board about it yesterday. The bottom line as one member said, don't compare yourself to others because we're all different, and things will happen to us differently. You are absolutely OK! The board is called "Normal Consumption...?". Check it out, lots of good advice from fellow members regarding our feelings on the subject.

I got some nice appetizer spoons on a sale site (haven't yet found appetizer forks but I'm still on soft foods so use a spoon most of the time) and that has helped take smaller bites. I feel better using it than I would a toddler spoons and forks but some people use those.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
