Working out and gaining weight

Recommended Posts

Gonna keep this short, surgery in 2011, 20 lbs to goal, working out every day with s trainer or doing boot camp, supposed to eat 1300 calories a day according to myfitness pal but too hard as I can't eat a lot of certain food and due to lap band, noticed I'm gaining weight, at next appt do I have my surgeon loosen my band so I can eat more since I'm working out or what! I'm so confused!

I can only talk about my experience, but for me, not eating enough has never caused me to gain weight. It was just the opposite. The less I eat, the more I lose. Years ago, I tracked EVERYTHING for 6 months. Intake, Exercise calories (using a HRM), and it showed me exactly what I've always heard/read. 3500 calories equals a pound....one way or the other.

I'm not sure this holds true for everyone, but it certainly did for me.

Best wishes on finding what will work for you! :)
