Hey all wanted to share this funny story with you all.

Today I was at the gym and ten minutes into my workout I got extreme gas you know the silent but violent type. Anyway I started landing them left right and centre and the smell was really bad. So bad that everybody in the gym was blocking there nose and blaming the other person I was just smiling and minding my own business. The owner of the gym was next to me on the treadmill and I started complaining to him about the bad smell. He said to me that they are stink bombs found in a tree and when you stepped on them they let out a bad smell so I went along with him. So what would you do if you were there in the gym at that time?

LOL! I am rolling on the floor laughing. The funny part about that is I can actually roll on the floor now!

Thanks for the chuckle so early in the am!

I'd say the traditional rules of

- Whoever smelt it, dealt it.

- Whoever denied it, supplied it.

Would apply in this case. There is no need to incriminate yourself :)

Ok. Here's one for you, per my hubs. He likes to do this whenever the "mood" strikes: start walking "casually" around your "victim", deploy said ammo, walk casually away. Leave "silent but deadly" in your wake. No one, other than said victim, is the wiser.

Yes. I was the victim.

Thanks cupcake

I went back to that same gym today and there seemed to be a big relief in the air probably because I didn't have gas.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
