looking for plastic surgeon in beaumont/Houston TX area

Recommended Posts

So anyone from Beaumont or Houston have good experiences with surgeons there? I have lost 142 pounds and now I am starting to research plastic surgery. I had a consultation with Dr Lyos in Houston but I am looking for other frame of reference so i would like to get a few other consolations to see what my options are. My insurance won't cover anything this will all will be self pay. I am a little overwhelmed in the quote I got for a Tummy Tuck and thigh lift but you do what ya gotta do I guess. I am also thinking I'd be more satisfied with a lower body lift instead of just at tummy tuck. I would like to find something a little cheaper but I understand you get what you pay for and I don't want to risk reduced quality of care just to save a few bucks. I also refuse to go to Mexico. I think that is crazy. I read some good things about Dr. Lamonico in Houston. anyone know about his prices or have had procedures done by him. There are a few surgeons in the town i live in. I live in Beaumont which is about 80 miles from houston. anybody had work done in beaumont?

I am originally from Orange. My hairdresser used Dr Charles Polsen in League City. He has a website.

A friend had surgery with Dr. L and she was very happy with her results and her care. She paid more than I did but I honestly don't recall how much (sorry -- I know that's a burning question!).

Dr Clayton Moliver is awesome! He is in clear lake and very easy access to the freeway. He has great prices. I already had tunny tuck, but just had thigh lift and arm lift with him. His staff is amazing as well.

Hi,

I had 2 surgeries/5 procedures done with Dr Adam in Webster. He was great. He's so talented and I have to say you can barely see my scars. (I had TT, Brest lift, Lipo in thigh on my first surgery. brachioplasty and fraczel on my face.) for the second surgery.

I researched 3 doctors. Dr Lomanoco, another dr referred by my lapband dr (can't remember that plastics dr. name). And dr Adam.

I actually had surgery set with Dr Lomonaco but switched to dr Adam after seeing a girl from this website's results.

He has his own surgery center and staff to assist him. Everything went like clockwork.

My step daughter had Brest reduction with dr Lomanoco and she was pleased.

Dr lomonaco's prices were double compared to Dr Adam for me. But he was on TV at the time. Not sure what it would be now.

Hope this helps....Josie

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
