tnkrrbl 53 Posted May 17, 2015 I know this is a mind game. Surgery tomorrow. 5/18/2015 I feel like I'm "failing myself" by having surgery. I also feel this way every time I lose 5 pounds and gain 10. I'm excited, I'm ready to move on, one more "try to do it myself" isn't going to make a difference it will just push back surgery. I know that in my heart. Never has why now? Did anyone else feel this way the day before surgery?

danetteperez 4 Posted May 18, 2015 Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. Give your self time to adjust and get back to your normal routine will take some getting use to especially if everything was focused around food. I decided to get my sleeve buy I had been on weight watchers for 3 yrs and would lose and gain the same 50 lbs. I was sleeved 4/15/15. And down 23 lbs. so I know it's a journey but at least it's a starting point.
sweetmini 12 Posted May 18, 2015 I'm going through the same feelings. I'm scheduled for gastric sleeve on Wednesday the 20th. I keep reading other people's posts about their progress and that helps to remind me why I'm doing this. I know everything will go well for both of us! amoreno 31 Posted May 21, 2015 Omg this is exactly what I am experiencing, trying to justify the surgery, like I lack willpower, desire, intelligence to lose weight. Actually I was feeling just like a failure. Couldn't "hack it" like somehow surgery is the easy way out. Well I have never worked so hard for something. Don't give up if I do this, so can you
