hyruleprincess20 2 Posted May 17, 2015 I am always thirsty and I try my very best to hydrate myself but it's very difficult to drink because I feel a very uncomfortable feeling when I do. Kind of like my insides are going to burst. The feeling passes but it still makes it difficult to drink. I am 10 days post op today! Lost 22 pounds and I feel good. But I'm scared I will make myself sick because I've barely touched any Protein Shakes because I can't tolerate them, but I can tolerate Water and sugar free drinks a little more. So for ten days I've been living on Popsicles because that is more easy to intake for me.
Vikingsfan8178 62 Posted May 17, 2015 I would talk to my doctor ASAP. You need that Protein (one way or another).
AussieSam 234 Posted May 17, 2015 Yes I agree Protein is a must. What you can do is buy tasteless Protein Powder from the pharmacy and mix it with Water.< /p>
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted May 17, 2015 Weight loss isn't your only concern: Repairing your poor shredded new tummy is a big concern. Your body needs Protein to heal and repair your tummy and to feed the body's most important organs -- heart, lungs, brain, etc. If you don't eat Protein, your body is eating your muscles to heal your tummy and to do daily repair of your body organs. Figure out a way to get that protein down pronto! Good luck!
wascott 395 Posted May 17, 2015 How many ounces of liquids are you getting down a day? It's very important to stay hydrated. Try varying the temperature of the liquid. Some seem to prefer cold vs hot or warm. You can also try beef or chicken broth and sugar free popsicles. Take small sips throughout the day. And as stated above, it wouldn't hurt to consult your doctor.
