orrio82 24 Posted May 16, 2015 curious in what everyone follows. I try for 80 gm protien but unsure of the suggested carb, etc. I am 7 months out down 70 pounds and very happy. Though at the moment I am at a terrible stall and just wondering if I am not following something correctly. Trust me I have NO regrets, except for not doing this sooner. lol
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted May 16, 2015 70 lbs is great. Congratulations! If you are unsure, check with your NUT. Mine doesn't have me tracking carbs, just Protein.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted May 16, 2015 Just so you know, stalls are like lovers. Your first will probably not be your last. I am at 80 grams of Protein and 64 ounces of Water. There is no requirement to monitor carbs, because by the time I get in the 80 grams of Protein, there is not much room for foods with many carbs. I find though, that if I go over 50 grams a day, it slows my roll. My sweet spot is around 30 grams.
sa1976 221 Posted May 30, 2015 At my bariatric support group last month, my nutritionist told people who are at stalls to up the Protein 80-100 and see if that works. I did and I drop 4 lbs just like that. She said always go back to the basics . Protein first, then veggies, and maybe some carbs. Also make sure you are getting in your Water 64 oz a day.
