madferitchick 163 Posted May 16, 2015 I am booked in for sleeve surgery on 28 may so on day two of pre op diet today. I currently drink a lot of Water, I always have, atleast 90-100oz a day. One of my big fears post op is wanting to drink Water but not being able to as I read so much about people struggling to get water in. Id be grateful if anyone can share their experience and explain if the problem with getting enough water is not physically being able to drink it or not liking to drink so much!? Thanks in advance ????
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted May 16, 2015 I had to patiently build up to it, but I can drink 100 ounces or more at 15 1/2 months out. I don't chug, but I can sip an ounce every few minutes with no problem.
zelmo 20 Posted May 16, 2015 I found keeping a bag of crushed ice on hand was the solution for me. It was so convenient. My hubby would go get it for me from the local Sonic Drive In. If you haven't tried this...it might work for you. I always keep a cup of ice handy nearby. Even now 3 years out from surgery, I still do this.
Jess55 97 Posted May 16, 2015 I was wondering the same thing. I'm used to drinking a lot of Water throughout the day. Especially while working out. I sweat a lot.
