kmagno 9 Posted May 16, 2015 My stats are 240/5'5". I am post op day 3 and am thrilled that my pain is just about gone. I haven't been hungry yet maybe just a little mental hunger but that passed quickly. I weighed my self today at 230 so I hope the weight keeps falling off. trishasmith0612 2 Posted May 21, 2015 That's what my stats are too! Well I was 244lbs. But I'm 5'5. My first day and a half were miserable. I didn't know if I was going to make it lol. My pain is very much tolerable now. I was sleeved on Monday the 18th. So I'm only 3 days out. I'm so excited about what this is going to do to my life. I got the hardest part done in my opinion. I have gotten to where I thought I was hungry but the feeling went away quickly. I'm getting to start my Protein Shakes tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet. I may stick with the Clear Liquids and clear Protein a few more days. My current weight is 233lbs. I think I'd be less if they hadn't pumped me with so much Fluid. I had to stay an extra day because of the pain I was in and the throwing up. It was horrible! My husband and I want children so that's why I got this done. I have pcos and it has totally wrecked my body. I'll be praying for all of you! Good luck in your journeys.

I am still swollen from all the gas. That was my biggest pain. I woke and felt like I couldn't breathe. I have yet to be nauseated, but I keep my nausea cream on me at all times. I started my Premier Protein yesterday because I couldn't drink my Unjury, I just couldn't drink it... BLAH. But the premier is delish. It's not clear but my dietician said I could start it. I go to dr wed for week 1 post op appt
GSDMom 2 Posted May 25, 2015 Hi All, I was sleeved on 5/18. Stats: 264/, 5'7. My doctor put me on clear liquids for two weeks then advance to Protein with puree. The clear liquids are getting boring. Does anyone know of a good clear protein. The ensure one makes me sick. I have no energy. I am living on Miso broth and ice pops, sugar free. Every time I drink I feel a pressure, a need to burp. Then it goes away. I am taking SMALL sips. Very carefully. Does anyone else have this pain in mid chest with need to belch? Clear protein?
trishasmith0612 2 Posted May 25, 2015 Me! My cousin had it a week before me and she says it goes away but I'm dying. I can't even take a fulfilling drink of Water. I've tried to eat refried Beans but it also gave me the need to burp feeling. It doesn't last long but it happens with every drink or bite. I have been eating sugar free Jello. laurenmichaels 2 Posted May 25, 2015 Good evening, the same is occurring with me also. It happens even with Jello but not so much with warm liquids(broths). I'm 9 days post op, but I also had a hernia repaired. I just transitioned to yogurts and soupy oatmeal. Because of the pain, I've limited those and decided on the broth a little longer. I too am praying it passes. Please keep me posted as to how anyone is/has handled this issue.
trishasmith0612 2 Posted May 25, 2015 Yep. Jello too. I've got to get more Protein in. That's my big struggle right now
davidncara@sbcglobal.net 9 Posted May 25, 2015 Drinking with a straw makes me burp. I just take small sips on my own.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted May 25, 2015 Does anyone know of a good clear Protein? I know some people drink the Isopure clear drinks. I like the ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates that I was able to get from my surgeon's office. You can also order it online from sites like Bariatricchoice.com.
