So I got sleeved on the 12th but feel like I'm definitely not getting enough calories in on just one bottle of Gatorade a day (130 calories). I'm thinking of making the change to regular Jello and no more sugar free. Anybody else do this and felt a bit better? Because I feel like I'm on day one of pre-op diet and am about to pass out at times.

When can you start having Protein drinks? That is what made the difference for me.

Starting Monday. However, I don't know if I can make it that long.

If it were me, I would drink a second Gatorade before I would eat the full sugar Jello. It won't be such a sugar load if it is spread out in sips over the course of an hour or two. Does a Jello even have many calories?

I have no idea if this is medically sound advice, LOL.... but I was thinking that some people do drink watered down apple juice and such post-op.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
