kmagno 9 Posted May 15, 2015 The hardest part is all of the trapped gas from the surgery. The broth doesn't smell or taste good. I have been able to keep some Water and Popsicles down. So far I have lost 7 pounds in 2 days. I am just hoping the pain disapates within the next few days.

I never feel full, Embarrassed to go back to surgeon ...never kept all my follow up appts. Everyone says I look like I have lost weight...maybe I should weigh myself. I feel like I did before surgery....feel like I eat the way I did then. What is the p0uch test that someone mentioned? Is tat to see it stretched? am sure it has. must get back on track...wondering if I should do two weeks of Protein shakes only

kmagno 9 Posted May 15, 2015 Yes they have been a life safer. I just feel like I'm not getting the required fluids in. I try to sip all day but I just can't seem to tolerate the broth. I'm hoping next week will be easier with a few more options to eat.
Italian Gal 66 Posted May 15, 2015 Kmagno....the first few days all I wanted was Water. I would suck on a popsicle just for something different. Once I started to get up and about I was ready for the broth. I ordered Chinese food for my family and got won ton Soup (delicious) and then went to sushi lunch with a friend and ordered clear soup...and then Mother's Day at Bravo's and ordered wedding Soup and sipped that broth. Yes, I get that they are not "healthy choice" Soups, but they taste great and we have hardly any calories to our diet at this point. I would rather have a little of something wonderful, then a lifetime of nothing that tastes good.

Gladys62 64 Posted May 16, 2015 Another suggestion, drain the "broth" off of chicken noodle Soup instead of plain broth. Big difference.
