There's a new milk in town, and it's packin' more Protein, less sugar, and NO lactose. It's called Fairlife, and so far I've enjoyed it. I don't, nor did I ever, drink a lot of milk, but I like the creamy flavor of this and the additional Protein and less sugar makes it do-able from a Bariatrics standpoint (in my personal opinion).

Oddly, I'd normally only drink whole milk, but this has a creamier texture to it and the 2% suits me fine.

The additional protein is not added-in. Apparently the revolutionary part is in their filtration process. Interesting.

Wondering if anyone else has seen it, tried it, etc? What do you think?

It is the only milk I buy. My whole family likes the taste. I don't drink a lot of milk, but when I do it's Fairlife.

I have switched to it and so has hubby, who has not had WLS nor does he need it. We love the extra Protein and it doesn't taste bad!

I saw it at the store just the other day but they were sold out of skim and only had chocolate (lots of sugar...darn it), whole and 2%. I've really been wanting to try it.

I love it - those extra 5 grams are a huge help when you're counting every gram of protein! Doesn't taste any different than regular milk to me.

I love it! The extra Protein helps and it tastes great. Even my teenage daughter prefers it to regular milk.

Glad to hear so many are trying it. I've been having one before bed (the individual size) to top off my Protein. 19 grams definitely helps.

I haven't tried chocolate for fear of the extra sugar, but my kids like it.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
