Mushy ideas? My NUT is all about no carbs or fat so I'm wondering how do i make this food mushy?

Put it in a food processor with some broth or sauce. Does your dietician really mean NO carbs or fat? Because that's not healthy IMO, or really even possible unless the only thing you are ever going to eat is extremely lean meat. Even that will have some fat in it.

She's actually OK with Protein sources having some natural fat but she's not allowing any mayo or healthy oils like at all.... seems a bit extreme

and the only carb is in the morning either plain oatmeal or plain kashi

I agree. That is extreme. Some carbs are healthy. mayo I can understand but I use cheese and cheese sauce to moisten I lived on runny mashed potatoes for a while. I went 6 weeks without ANY food and very little Fluid. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and almost had a central line for IV fluids. My NUT said do what works (within reason). Extremes aren't healthy.

I am not saying you to do this you must follow your gut instinct or your nut but in the very beginning a lot of "sleevers" tolerate mashed potatoes or the noodles and juice from Cambell's chicken noodle Soup original- don't eat the chicken pieces just yet and try to fill up on Protein Shakes. They do have Protein puddings and jello-s but they don't taste too good.

Refried Beans with some light sour cream is a decent Protein source. I made tuna and chicken salad in the blender so it is smooth(like pate), you can use light mayo. I also put chicken or turkey in the blender with some gravy.

My NUT recommended adding a bit of gravy. She even specifically recommended the prepared kind you buy in jars.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
