NoBsVs 70 Posted May 12, 2015 I'll be having my surgery in a little over 3 hours. I'm nervous and excited, but mostly scared of the pain following the surgery(evil gas pain). Hopefully, I'll have the luck of some of you who came out of the operation with minimal pain. I'm not counting on it though. I know two people who have been sleeved by the same surgeon, and they said the surgery was rough for them when they came out of it. Cross your fingers for me, please. I'll be in the hospital for two nights, so I won't be able to report back until Thursday.
*Lexie* 1,486 Posted May 12, 2015 Best of luck. Even if you don't feel very well after surgery, it's just a tiny part of the whole process and you forget about it very quickly. I didn't feel so great after surgery but it was totally worth it. Would do it again in a second.

jane13 2,256 Posted May 12, 2015 good luck and don't sweat the gas stuff. I did. I was lucky and had none. I hated waiting to get leak test done the next day so I could get a drink.

mallen1895 108 Posted May 13, 2015 I had my surgery yesterday. I did not experience any gas. The worst part was drinking that nasty liquid for leak test. But they gave us a little cranberry juice after which made it better I left the hospital today and had some pain. But once I took the pain meds I felt better. I do not have a appetite at all. I'm looking forward to losing this weight. Summer is almost here. The best of luck to us all on this journey.
NoBsVs 70 Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks everyone. The surgery went well, and the pain at the incisions is fairly minimal, though I'm still taking my pain meds to try to stay on top of it. The one thing they haven't been helping is these horrible full body aches I'm getting, especially in my arms. It feels like I did about 1,000 bicep curls and shoulder presses. I absolutely can't wait for this pain to go away, Hopefully it will within the week.
