Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted May 11, 2015 Here is a good overview of why we may feel hungry, even when we aren't. Why you are constantly hungry http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/11/health/always-hungry/index.html
lisacaron 5,075 Posted May 11, 2015 Thanks, that was an interesting article. I'm one of those stress people with high adrenaline issues!
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted May 11, 2015 Great article. What drives me to sugary, starchy comfort foods is pain. If my sciatica is acting up, I don't want Protein, I want mashed potatoes! I usually just end up making sugar-free hot chocolate or eating 1/2 banana.
LizBull 1 Posted May 11, 2015 Starchy/sugary stuff has a huge capacity to numb feelings. Lab rats actually prefer sugar to cocaine. Sciatica actually has emotional roots.
Puppypaws57 137 Posted May 12, 2015 Could you explain where you got your facts that Sciatica has emotional roots.s Thanks!
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted May 12, 2015 Yeah, I'd like to know, too. I thought my sciatica was caused a ruptured disc that is putting pressure on the sciatic nerve which goes down through my leg. That emotional suggestion sounds bogus to me. Please tell us where that info came from. I am going to a pain clinic, not a psychologist.
