Jessica Radcliff 51 Posted May 10, 2015 Ok so, tomorrow is my one week surgiversary and I can start on softies like cottage cheese, string cheese, etc.... tonight I am craving the cottage cheese though. I can swallow my liquids down find, not even sipping, i can handle Jello and broth and every other thing thrown at me. Do you think it would kill me to have some cottage cheese for dinner? Im sooooooooo hungry and i feel like I would handle it ok. What is all of your opinion??
sharonintx 1,275 Posted May 10, 2015 At the risk of being branded a rebel, if it were me I would eat it.
borg/assimilated 576 Posted May 10, 2015 Tonight or wait until tomorrow? It's probably close enough to try it.
Salonboi 353 Posted May 10, 2015 Even being so close, if it were me I'd wait. The Drs give us guidelines for a reason. And we obviously needed their help to lose the weight, so why take back the control we gave them by following their guidelines. But hey that's just me. Good luck and I hope it goes the way you want it to.
cjnorris 103 Posted May 10, 2015 This is your journey. I remember wanting cottage cheese too. I could only eat two bites as it was so filling. So don't be surprised if it is not what you thought it would be. Good luck
TammyDTM 391 Posted May 11, 2015 Jumping the gun? Breaking the rules? That's not a good start in my opinion...
judyoz 240 Posted May 11, 2015 Your lucky I had to wait 10 days for anything other than liquids. So what did you decide?
Jessica Radcliff 51 Posted May 11, 2015 (edited) Had a small amount. Chewed it til even more mush even low it was small curds. Tasted So good. No reactions. Glad I did it. Needed it. And as for breaking rules I'm only out 12 hrs. I haven't even been allowed shakes or anything just broth tea Water Jello and pops so I think I'm ok. Am waiting one hour before drinking anything, and as my family can attest to, I am in a WAY better mood now that something is litterally IN and on my stomach. Was able to get around 4 small spoonfuls in before i started to feel full. I actually felt FULL!!! Thats a first for me so far:) I know we have guidelines but i also know that everyone also knows their body and their surgeron. I have been great at following every order to a T even when I haven't wanted to. I think so far I have done great with all the distractions and my usual lack of willpower. Im just please it went well:) Edited May 11, 2015 by Jessica Radcliff
TammyDTM 391 Posted May 11, 2015 I'm glad that you feel better, but I guess I was just cheering you on to wait. Most of us gained our weight because we gave ourselves too many "passes." With me it's a mind thing. I need to know that I have enough self control to do what is needed for me to be successful. I will use this tool to my utmost advantage. I have learned new strategies and continue to learn as I go along. I wish the very best for you and for all of us. Truly.

I gave myself to many passes, nows the time for no excuses (for me) and I know the tools effectiveness is in its full strength at beginning of journey, and I don't wanna cheat myself out of any benefits it creates for me. Every moment counts ???? Edited May 11, 2015 by Salonboi
Jessica Radcliff 51 Posted May 11, 2015 Well I dont tend to allow myself anymore passes. This was my hardest week I think not only due to just fluids but because i couldnt take my meds rigth away because of the size. Normally I am very very good at holding back. There was just a lot going against me this week. I dont necessarily say it was the rigth thing to do but i guess for me at this moment it was something that was needed. Now had it been a small slice of cheese burger, then i would expect you to all be coming right to my door and yelling at me lol but def from now on Im on a no pass lifestyle. But I thank all of you for atleast taking the time to response. This was my second forum site. I really thought the other one was going to be my fav but they dont like to respond at all and I feel in a journey like this, response and in a timely manner is what will make or break some things. Thanks!
Salonboi 353 Posted May 11, 2015 I just know how many times I've failed myself with excuses as to why I should or should not. I'd hate to fail myself ever again, coming so far with this journey. And I'm speaking for myself not you ???? just to make that clear lol which I know is ????
