ReadyFourChange 20 Posted May 10, 2015 Okay, some of these shakes are too frothy for me. I can't stand drinking that foam. I really don't like any foam. Yuck! But I can tolerate SOME. Can any of you please give me some insight into what kind of blender I should buy. The one I have is not cutting it and shaker/blender bottles also makes them way to frothy. Please, anyone, help!! IndieDivaIN 39 Posted May 10, 2015 I love my vortex battery operated cup. Uses batteries and blends Protein powders really great. Great when on the go or at work. Now doesn't blend fruit and stuff.
OregonTeacher 63 Posted May 10, 2015 The froth makea me feel yuck, too. I have taken to making my Protein Shakes more like an iced coffee. I mix the powder in about 1/4 cup of milk in a small cup and let it sit for a few minutes so it blends. Then, I pour it into a larger cup, filled with ice, with the other 3/4 cup of milk. Stir. Absolutely no froth!!!
James Marusek 5,244 Posted May 10, 2015 I use a Ninja blender. Some models come with several detachable blending bowls. I use the single serve 16 ounce blending cups. After blending, you unscrew the blade top and screw on the sippy cup attachment and you are ready to go. It blends Protein powders will Water to a fine consistency. It is easy to add a banana or other fruit into the Protein shake. It pulverizes ice if you want to cool down the Protein Shake.< /p>
ReadyFourChange 20 Posted May 11, 2015 Thanks for the information. I've never seen one of those vortex blenders before. That would be great for work. I have looked at the ninja, but wasn't sure if it lived up to the claims. Good to hear from a real user. I will try mixing with a little bit of milk then adding the rest until I find something that works for me. I really can't drink anymore foam. Yuck! I really appreciate the input!! Steve Puckett 33 Posted May 11, 2015 Just let your shakes set for a few minutes, the foam will dissipate, then you can enjoy your masterpieces
pinkie1 36 Posted May 11, 2015 How about those stick blenders sit in on the bottom of the jug and mix that way you will get less froth. Me personally I love the froth I find it makes it more creamy yum yum.
ehawth28 0 Posted May 12, 2015 Thank you for the let sit for a min suggestion. I hate re froth so much I stopped drinking the Protein Shakes, but my weight loss has slowed. I will try your recommendation and I pray it works.
VSGmary 418 Posted May 12, 2015 Another suggestion is to make the shake the night before and leave it in the fridge. By the time you have it in the morning any froth will gave dissipated and maybe you might have some powder formed on the bottom of you shaker etc but all you need to do is grab a spoon and give it a small quick stir.. Voila! Froth-less shake . I do this every night, as i too hate the froth!
hellohealthy 32 Posted May 12, 2015 I use a Nutribullet and then let mine sit!
luvj0j0 53 Posted May 12, 2015 Love my ninja! Might get a vortex too!
beachgal2935 596 Posted May 13, 2015 Love my NutriBullet but hate the foam as well. Here's what I've learned. Just take a long handled spoon and stir it after blending. The foam dissipates almost immediately. Couldn't live without my NutriBullet!
pinkie1 36 Posted May 13, 2015 I was thinking about this last night and thought what if you mix a bit of Water in the powder to make a paste then slowly add water and stir gently gradually adding more and more water to your liking being careful to not stir to vigorously.
