I'm 9 days post op. I've noticed I tend to not drink my 2 ounces of Protein because I feel full for 2 to 3 hours after. I would rather sip Water all day. I've only been getting about 4 to 6 oz of protein a day so I can drink water. I feel like I'm always thirsty

Try the Isopure clear Protein Drinks. I have never tried them and from what I have read here you either love them or hate them. You can get them at Vitamin Shop, they are expensive but you need some Protein. Hydration is crucial at first but soon enough you will have to increase your protein.

I've tried every flavor and they are disgusting. I've tried unflavored Protein and gag.

Syntrax Nectars mixed with Water are much lighter and less filling than the usual Protein drinks. They come in a variety of flavors.

I got through that phase with the Syntrax Nectars mixed with Crystal Lite Lemonade.

I'll look into Syntrax. I'm fine with the taste of my Protein but they are just so heavy and I worry about dehydration last Tuesday I was almost admitted back into the hospital.

I love Syntrax Matrix with Water and sweetened almond milk (4 ozs each). The flavors are good and they aren't thick like many of the Protein shakes I've tried. And, they have lots of Protein.< /p>

Try Isopure, and mix it with something. I have used Crystal Light, G2, and Iced Tea. I cut it in half, so 1/2 a bottle, or 10oz of Isopure, with 10oz mixer. 20g of Protein, and 20oz fluids!! I sip it all day, adding ice as I go. I have only tried Grape Frost, and Iced Tea Lemon.

The reason I'm here is that there is no such thing as "to sweet". Lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
