I don't know how to post a picture here of endoscopy results. My sleeve don't go up and down straight. He sewed a pouch at the top. I have a large man made hernia at the top and it holds food in it, when I lay down burns my throat from acid reflux. I'm being referred to a bariatric specialist next week

So sorry Judy.  That's certainly not what you had in mind when you signed on for this surgery.  I wish you the best and hope you find a solution.

So sorry to hear that, I hope your experience is useful for others, you are putting your life in the hands of someone you don't know so we should do our homework, I did a lot of research before doing my VSG, I also considered Dr. Quinones to do mine, but I heard and read about terrible experiences... so I said BYE BYE-NO THANKS, then I found this site, which was a lot of help, I visited three excellent doctors that work with Bariatric pal, but DR. J. LOPEZ was my winner!!! I WILL NEVER REGRET IT, no complication, great human being, the staff from Bariatric Pal are so easy going and so nice, what can I say after a successful story and great results.... but the only thing I will advice to people considering the sleeve.. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

Yes, I was desperate and it was cheaper and I was in a hurry. I'm going to get it repaired here. I'll go back for liposuction later on. My health comes first.

Ann are you the same one with blonde bombshell avatar on gastricgastricsleeve.com?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
