ab123. 90 Posted May 9, 2015 I am so discusted! I had my sleeve April 24th and was home morning of April 25 th. My IV was out evening of the 24th. I have not lost any weight except for the 4.5 pounds I lost in the first few days after surgery. Prior to surgery I was losing 15 pounds a month. I saw my surgeon and NUT yesterday and they could offer no explanation! Totally regret my sleeve!
Babbs 14,681 Posted May 9, 2015 Just breath. Sounds like your doctor's weren't very helpful in calming your fears. Just let your body adjust and make sure you're getting all your fluids and Protein. That's your priority right now. The weight loss will follow. Make sure you're moving a little, too. It's completely normal after surgery for your body to stall. There are hundreds of threads in this forum alone about it! Hang in there!
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted May 9, 2015 Let's start with basics. First of all take a deep breath and try to relax. It's only been a week. What are you eating/drinking at this point? (a food log really helps) Are you close to meeting your protein/fluid goals? Have you had had your first BM yet? Are you walking and/or exercising yet? Not everyone experiences big numbers right off the bat, some people are slow and steady losers. If you are following your program, the weight loss will happen. Veronica Page 488 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) I notice you are starting off at a lil bit of a lower BMI it is completely normal from what I hear to have slower weight loss. The good thing is you will definitely NOT gain anything back and should be very successful over time. Your body does need time to adjust and you will surely see some loss over time. Keep your head up and good luck I'm sure you will be fine! Edited May 12, 2015 by Veronica Page
