Are you eating for comfort or boredom or both? My first instinct is to advise you to try to fill your time with activities so you don't get bored and overeat while just watching TV or whatever. Try to get out of the house and walk around the mall or a park. Maybe even do some volunteer work while you look for a new job?

@iamblessed1225 I agree 100% with @JamieLogical. Were you an emotional eater before surgery? If so you may even want to talk to a therapist for some additional coping methods. Losing a job is stressful enough. Get outside and walk when you feel the urge or brush your teeth!

In addition to the above suggestions, I would suggest you pull out your instructions that you followed early in your post-op weeks and use those as your guidelines for now. Hopefully, re-reading them will help you to refocus yourself so that you don't fall back into any more old (bad) habits. You've come too far to give up the ground you've covered. Good luck in all things!! I've been laid off before, too, so I know how that feels. I will pray that your job needs are met soon.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
