post surgical sexual intimicies

Recommended Posts

WOW. I never thought of the increase in sex as a side effect. My hubby will really enjoy that one, we have a very active sex life already ( about 6-7 times a week) . How will we find time for our usual activities now, like work, and eating. Hey now, thats an idea, sex instead of eating. Good Luck to all of you, keep us "posted" on whats going on. Aloha...

Holy crap 6-7 times a week - will you please call my wife and tell her to get her act in gear.

Can you start doing it in the liquid stage or would it be considered a mushie??

ROTFLMAO - way too funny - if it is mushie he should probably go have that checked out:omg:

I have no problem with the act itself, in fact I quite enjoy it, but I'm not big on the conclusion happening in my mouth (For a lack of better terms.)

Think I could just say "Well now that I'm banded, it's not allowed..." lol I think it'd be quite the excuse myself.

No problems here after surgery and after 3 fills. I always "finish" and have had no pb from that lol. I am sure glad we can all be so open with our questions on here lol.

There is a really good thread that goes into this also in the Lounge...right about the Rants and Raves thread. The name is something like Adult Warning....Rated XXX...can't remember the name now but it was started back in 2006 and has LOTS of replies to it

Thanks all for the replies, it was good to know of everyones experiences and knowing that I can't hurt myself too much. But there definately was some food (no pun intended) for thought on some of the other stuff. Let me know if anyone else can think of anything else I might need to know. Aloha...

Does everyone have to do a pre-op diet? I'm new to this and haven't had my preop consults yet. Thanks for any insight.

If you could swallow before, you can swallow now. The volume should not cause you to PB or clog unless your band is tight due to emotional upset. In that case, you shouldn't really be doing that till you're relaxed anyway.

every doctor is different in what he requires. Just wait until you get your consult, and be sure to have a list of all the questions with you. Good Luck

LOL well i must admit i didn't consider this being a problem, but it is a good question. Ejaculation volume is usually no more than 30 cc (2 tablespoons) at the most so i think the volume and consistancy would not be a problem. But swallowing air might be.... Oh well I guess there is gas-x strips. I am 3 weeks post op and I am usually to dang tired to stay up past 9:00. I say you go girl if you got the energy

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
