WE_SCOTTS 16 Posted May 12, 2015 Pretty good. Get bursts of energy, so I get up to do something and it requires a nap after. Just feeling drained, but want to be amongst the living again. So bored.
Salonboi 353 Posted May 12, 2015 Pretty good. Get bursts of energy, so I get up to do something and it requires a nap after. Just feeling drained, but want to be amongst the living again. So bored.I hear ya on being bored. And yes a nap is totally required afterwards lolI just finished a Soup made out of fresh broccoli, cauliflower, onion and carrots, mixed in a low sodium Tomato Soup. Then put into my Vitamix till thoroughly blended. And can I say yum.
SavorySweet 52 Posted May 12, 2015 I just finished a Soup made out of fresh broccoli, cauliflower, onion and carrots, mixed in a low sodium Tomato Soup. Then put into my Vitamix till thoroughly blended. And can I say yum. Wow! That sounds so delish! Thanks for the inspiration! Im 2 days behind you and I am going to have to check my cleared foods, and see what I can whip up tomorrow (day 6) Its been so nice to follow you. My pain did alleviate a bit today, Although I had a couple of bouts of terrible night sweats last night. That hasn't happened to me since before I quit drinking (11+ yrs ago). I'm responding far better to ground tylenol then any of the prescribed pain relievers (terrible nausea). scale finally started to move (beyond pre-sugery #) today. That sucks on the night sweats, it has to be super uncomfortable. Hopefully they'll go away soon. The pain meds didn't make me sick thank goodness. Just very constipated. And congratulations on the scale moving. I'm still excited every time I see a lower number.

VDB 800 Posted May 13, 2015 Salonboi -- way to go, you got through the surgery. You have a terrific attitude, I think that is part of it. I am three weeks post-bypass, on the "mushy" phase of eating, down 36# already. My biggest barrier is the restriction against lifting anything heavy (over 15#) for the six weeks. Plays heck with being a gardener and woodworker, but only three weeks to go. Glad your 4 year old will see a new Dad (more active). Mine are all grown but I know that I was not nearly as physically active as I should have been due to the weight. But, my grandson will see the svelte me. Hopefully not the bald me, but I have a full head of hair and the Hair loss is not normally extreme in months ahead. Good luck, be well. John VDB

John VDB Thanks for positive feedback ???? and yes I'll be so much more active for my son ???? and congrats on your wonderful loss ????I'm 11 days post-op and I'm down 33.6 pounds in 3weeks.. We both are doing so well. I tell ya, it's been super hard these last few days, being around regular food. I start mushy food Tuesday, so I'm right behind ya. You sound like you have a great attitude towards your journey to, this definitely helps us for sure. I started back work yesterday and yes, the lifting restrictions are pretty annoying. I keep forgetting, but thank goodness I've done no harm to myself yet lol. Keep up the good work ????
