Help! Feeling jiggly!

Recommended Posts

Okay 6 months post op SW 259lbs Cw196lbs Gw1 170lbs Gw2 (if I don't feel too skinny 150lbs

So my mid section feels jiggly and even if I hang down it hangs low. Same as when I bend down I feel like my stomach rolls most.

Anyone have some fun suggestions on how to work on this problem area? I do bodycombat (mixed martial arts, kickboxing, Tae Boe karate class) and I lift.

I get bored laying on the floor crunching. Yes I'm a gym class junkie lol.

I think it's just luck of the draw. You can try doing exercises that focus on building up core strength and hope you can develop muscle mass to take up some of the lose skin, but there just is no guarantee.

To try and minimise loose skin as much as possible you need to make sure your majority of weight loss is fat and not muscle. Two ways to ensure this eat enough calories each day and eat lots of Protein.< /p>

Here's a good hint, there is almost no way to tighten skin. Very young people have an easier time of it due to having much more elastin in their cells. Lose weight fast and you are going to have loose skin as fat separates from the muscles it used to stick to. Your panny area ( lower belly) will droop and hang and feel like a half empty bag of Jello. yep. justthe way it is. Thats why so many end up with plastic surgery after.

I am afraid there is only one cure for loose skin - surgery! You can tone the muscle under the skin but not the skin itself. That is down to genes, how obese you were, how long you were obese, your age.

Some people do feel after a year or do, it seems to be a bit better. Some are extremely lucky and it isn't an issue. But for most of us who were large enough and had been so for long enough to resort to surgery, we either live with it or get it removed!

Thanks guys! I don't think I'm at the loose skin stage yet I feel like it's my last big bit of fat that's hanging on. I just don't want it to turn into loose skin! I'm just extra worried now ya know? I didn't think I was crazy big to end up with loose skin but maybe I'm wrong.

@@Stevehud, I don't know if that quite counts as a 'good hint' :), but @@Aribay1, he's right on.

lol true probably not a hint at all. i should've said, here's an explanation put bluntly, that would have been more appropriate.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
