dalysm86 12 Posted May 5, 2015 Hello all! I had my gastric sleeve surgery on May 1st and the first 2 days i didn't had any gas whatsoever even the surgeon was surprise but then as soon as i left the hospital and got home i started getting this horrible gas pain in my stomach and chest. It has been 2 days now and i still have them. Does anyone know how long they last to leave the body or what can i do to help it goes away faster? If it wasn't because of the gas i would be perfectly fine.. Help...
wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted May 5, 2015 I've heard you have to "walk" off the gas. Luckily I didn't have that issue.
Edavidson 84 Posted May 5, 2015 I actually still have the gas in my stomach and throat five months out. I was advised by another sleever on this website to get prilosec. I was using Zantac and it didn't work but when I bought the prilosec I finally got some relief. I use the generic as well and it works great. When I go to my PCP I am going to get a prescription so the ins can pay for it. It is expensive but well worth the money. Hope you feel better.
