this hair loss is depressing!

I know. It's really is scary to think about. I passed my 4 month mark and thought I was home free. I'd taken all my Vitamins, still was drinking a Protein Shake for Breakfast just to ensure I was meeting my Protein goals, and lo and behold, it started coming out anyway. Luckily, I have very thick hair, so only I and my hairdresser noticed. And it has already started growing back. I just don't want you to be blindsided when you do everything right and you still lose some hair. I really hope you don't. Keep us posted. I will be interested to know how going to your nutriologist may help with it.

Sleeved 10/28/10

Hi all it stops eventually. Some will re gain lost hair some wont (I don't get the massive pony tail back) but most came back. I started loosing by the handfull and brush full by 3 months. My doctor had no reason why. (I was his 1st ever vs). He has done other types bands and R N Y. But he said never seen it before.

Vits is a must. Try Biotin and All B Vits they help build the hair and nails

Increase your Protein if you can.

Remember it will pass its a natural part if the process. I have been told its from a shift in nutrients and side effect of surgery. The latter I tend to agree with more. I have had 2 previous surgeries and both times I experienced Hair loss. Be well be strong. This to will pass.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
